The base cabinet with a door is the core module of a kitchen: 600 mm wide, 720 mm of carcass height and 560 mm deep, standing on a plinth set back 60 mm to leave room for your feet. Cabinet·CNC computes its cut list, sheet layout, DXF and G-code from those three dimensions.
On its own this cabinet uses only 14 % of the 3 sheets it consumes. That is normal, and it is why the app nests the whole job in one go: one carcass's offcuts take the small parts of the others.
The 720 mm carcass height is not a round number by accident: add a 100 mm plinth and a 38 mm worktop and you get the 858 mm finished counter height that is the European kitchen norm. Change one of the three and the other two have to follow, which is the first thing the app does when you push a dimension.
The plinth is set back 60 mm. That setback is not decorative: it is where your toes go when you stand at the counter. Below 50 mm you kick it, above 80 mm it becomes visible from the doorway.
An overlay door covers the carcass edges: its size derives from the outside width minus the perimeter gap, not from the inside width. The generator computes that gap from the hinge you pick — every reference in the catalogue carries its real K distance, screw centres and overlay arm.
Changing hinge therefore does not just change a line in the schedule: it moves the Ø35 cup on the front and the mounting plate on the side panel, in the machine file.
600 mm is the most common width in Europe, because it matches a dishwasher and a built-in oven. 300, 400, 450, 500, 800, 900 and 1000 mm are also standard. Cabinet·CNC accepts any width: the generator redistributes drawers, shelves and holes accordingly.
19 mm for sides, bottom and stretchers; 8 mm is enough for a back housed in a groove or rabbet, since it squares the box rather than carrying load. At 16 mm the carcass stays sound up to 800 mm wide; beyond that the bottom sags under a load of crockery.
